Bridging the Faith Divide:
A Public Talk by His Holiness the Dalai Lama
In July of 2011, the Theosophical Society in America invited the Dalai
Lama to speak as part of the Society's annual summer convention. This
program, which was given at the University of Illinois, was emceed by Bill
Kurtis of WBBM-TV and includes performances by children of the Tibetan
Alliance of Chicago and the Chicago Children’s Choir, with Josephine Lee,
president and artistic director. The staging was conceived by and
implemented under the direction of Jim Lasko of Redmoon Theater in
collaboration with Chicago-land representatives of many of the world’s faith
organizations. 2011. 118 minutes.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is both the head of
state and the spiritual leader of Tibet.

Christianity to Theosophy
Bro. Wong Weng Tuck, our fellow member, talks about the major
theological hurdles a Christian faces when confronted with theosophy. He
touches on an updated and unorthodox view of Christianity based on latest
field research & biblical interpretations by renowned scholars. Many of
these views are now taught in western universities, which are quite
different from the theology preached in the churches. Theosophy can then
perhaps be more easily assimilated to bible interpretations.
