HPB’s Esoteric Instructions

Chong Sanne provides a glimpse into HPB’s Esoteric Instructions given to her Inner Group in the last years of her life. We shall look at some aspects of the secret teachings not known to ordinary members of the TS.

 A total of three instructions were officially sent to the Inner Group by HPB. Instruction No. 1 was dated January-February 1889 and the second March-April 1889. Instruction No. 3 was issued December 1889-January 1890. These three numbered instructions were all that was issued during Mme. Blavatsky’s lifetime. They hold together as some of her best work and contain information not to be found in the rest of her writings.

Instructions IV and V, and the First Supplementary Paper to Instruction IV were sent posthumously. These later Instructions are based on H.P.B.’s words taken down in shorthand and in the form of Notes by some of her students during the meetings of the Inner Group in London.
